Chiltern Learning Trust
The Trust is committed to the highest standards of teaching and learning for all our learners so that every child within our school communities is able to develop to the very best of their ability and receive opportunities and experiences that are beyond those they would receive elsewhere. The focus on the high-quality learning experiences that we provide to the pupils within our seventeen schools is mirrored in the support and opportunities that we provide to our staff. Our focus on providing high-quality learning and professional development is uncompromising. This work is underpinned by the Initial Teacher Training that we provide through the Chiltern Training Group (CTG) and the support that we provide at each stage of a teachers career through the Chiltern Teaching School Hub (CTSH).
The practicalities of the Trust arrangement also enables us to retain a strong central team of specialists with expertise in finance, marketing, facilities management, staff training and development, technology for learning and human resources. This helps to ensure that the outstanding quality of teaching and learning is mirrored in the day-to-day running of our schools.

Chiltern Learning Trust - Scheme of Delegation & Accounts
Chiltern Learning Trust (CLT) is a company limited by guarantee and a charitable trust. Responsibility for the schools that make up the Trust and for the funds granted by Parliament for providing education in those schools is entrusted to the CLT Board.
The CLT Board governs the company. The Board's trustees are either. All trustees have the same powers and responsibilities. Much of the work of the Board is delegated to the Local Governing Body of each school.
The Trust governance model delegates a high level of responsibility and decision making to its Local Governing Bodies; and recognises the significant contribution that excellent local governance can make towards high standards and community cohesion. In order to support this model, the Trust provides support with governor recruitment which ensures that Local Governing Bodies are well trained and supported. Standardised self-evaluation and data reports are shared between Headteachers, senior leaders, advisors and governors.
School improvement, school management, finance, ICT, HR and legal advice systems are well-developed and shared across the Trust, under the direction of the CEO and the CLT Central Team.
