Off With Her Head
The children will be learning all about the Tudor period and their impact on modern-day Britain.  We will cover the beliefs, motives and lifestyle of Henry VIII. We will also look at events such as the Black Death, the breakaway from the Catholic Church and the reasons for the end of the Tudor era.
In the second half-term, we will be visiting the Tower of London to further enhance our knowledge and understanding of the Tudors. We will then design and make sculptures of the Tower of London, using a range of different materials. In English, we will look at biographies and auto-biographies, write riddles to entertain King Henry and write a newspaper article detailing Anne Boleyn’s execution.
