01 May Welcome from Mrs Andrews
I am very proud to be the Head of school at Springfield Primary School. Our children, families, staff and governors are working in close partnership to create enriching learning opportunities. This will ensure each and every pupil leaves us at the end of Year 6 ready to relish the challenges of secondary education.
The ethos of the school is based on key values. We have very high expectations of behaviour at Springfield Primary. Visitors often comment on the calm atmosphere and good relationships, which are so important to us.
We pride ourselves in being an inclusive school and we know all our pupils really well. Every single child matters at Springfield Primary and we value children for all their different strengths and qualities. We want to create a safe, stimulating and supportive atmosphere where children can love life, learning and play.
Our curriculum aims to ensure all children develop the skills they need for later life, with a very strong focus on the basic skills of English and maths. We track pupils progress very carefully and make sure everyone knows what are the next steps for learning. Our curriculum also covers much wider areas of learning and we offer enrichment activities such as clubs and visits. We work very hard at Springfield but we also believe that learning should be fun. Children are empowered to become independent learners, preparing them for their future.
We are all very proud to be part of the Springfield Primary School community and always welcome visitors to our school so you can see our learning in action.
We hope you enjoy your visit to our website and found all the information you need about our school. Please feel free to contact the school directly with any queries you may have. Thank you for visiting.
